Diplopia

Using motion and light to express shapes and forms in time. Lissa Hahn uses her camera to paint, creating a dimension otherwise invisible to the naked eye, a space-time revealed, frozen in one exposure.

A binge of vintage Sci-fi film watching influenced the shapes, space and costumes Lissa used in her Diplopia series. In her process she takes about two to three weeks of making costumes, head pieces and accessories to complete her visions for each sitting.

Lissa's fine art photography relies on one tool - the camera. In a world where photoshop is greatly used to alter photographs, she creates her work as one pure exposure in the camera.
